Content Editor - Social Media Manager

Based in Paris and reporting to the Chief Content Officer, this is a high profile role in a small, high performing company focused on building the largest global gay community of travelers.  Building and nurturing our community is a core component of our strategy and it's up to the Content editor and social media manager to help shepherd this vision. To do so, the person in this role will need to internalize and deeply understand our mission, strategy, & community. There's an enormous opportunity to help improve our services, grow professionally, and work with a truly awesome team.

 

Position Roles
You will generate, source, edit and publish content to nurture our community and strengthen our brand. Your main objective is to drive traffic to our site and app and you will use SEO and direct links to grow our base of gay and gay friendly hosts and travelers. You will deliver content through our social media, newsletters, site, app, city guides etc. English is a crucial component of this position.

Own our social media strategy

  • Create and implement social media strategy with the executive team
  • Plan and manage social media campaigns and presence on social media
  • Generate, source, edit, publish and share daily content, build meaningful connections and encourage community members to take action

Grow our bank of community stories and User-Generated/-Sourced content

  • Source and edit compelling stories as you interact with the community and share them through our newsletter, social media, short videos, etc.
  • Facilitate and moderate all user-generated content (hosts guides, photos, testimonials, …)

Develop and maintain a database of city guides, places and events

  • Research and edit SEO-focused city and places descriptions
  • Create and curate lists of recommended places and events
  • Source users and influencers recommendations for places

Manage the content of our FAQ

  • Create and edit accurate and uptodate replies to our community questions
  • Ensure that the FAQ reflects the brand messaging and UVP

Develop and maintain our corporate pages within each platform

  • Set up and optimize company pages to increase the visibility of company’s social content

Supervise the multilingual management of the site, app and social media

  • Manage third party and team of external translators and proofreaders

About you

  • You’re a fluent English speaker - Native-English speaker is a plus
  • 3 years+ of brand/copywriting experience
  • Undergraduate in marketing, PR, computer science or similar. You will also need demonstrated experience in social and digital media, which includes being able to measure social media presence.
  • You have excellent written skills in a lot of different styles
  • You follow what is happening in the fast changing world of social and digital media and what competitors are doing
  • You have in-depth knowledge of writing for Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • You are tech savvy, you know how to measure tactics
  • You’re excited about the chance to get in on the ground floor of one of the fastest growing startups in the gay market
